綠道 Greenways

LPT*（輕量便攜式運輸）正在興起，地球的氣溫也在上升。這個想法是：只要選擇城市裡幾條較長的道路或路線，讓它們成為無車區。一開始可以在週末實施，使用路障封路，之後也許可以永久禁止汽車通行。這個方法簡單、便宜、有效，而且完全可逆。下面的照片大多來自台北，但這個點子幾乎可以應用在任何城市。LPT* (Lightweight Portable Transport) is on the rise and so is the Earth’s temperature. OLD VERSION 綠色通道提案: 沒有車子的路很好走

沒有車子的路很好走輕便交通工具越來越受歡迎。地球的溫度越來越高。方法：選一些適合的路開放給自行車與別的輕便交通工具。汽車禁行。首先可以在週末實行，如果結果好可以整個禮拜這養做。非常容易，便宜，有效，而且完全可以反轉。這些圖片描畫台北可是這個方法可以用在別的城市。那當地居民怎麼停車呢？方法很多。可以提供給他們免費停車場、補償費、或特殊訪問許可證。他們可用電子ID自動打開欄柵或關口。他們要慢速得開車用旁邊的車道。如果我們這樣做旁邊的路會不會變得更混亂？開始實行這個規劃的時候附近的路也許會有更多車子，可是很可能自行車、其他環保交通工具、與行人都會減少因為他們能用綠道。而且等一段時間很多司機會多使用輕便環保交通工具或走路，所以整個城市的車很可能會減少。那請問，緊急服務車和送貨車怎麼辦？這類的車能有特殊訪問。欄柵或關口的話它們可用電子ID自動打開。送貨車要慢行用旁邊的車道。極有可能小型輕便的送貨車會出現。我不相信我們能實現這個規劃。空中樓閣。 “People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.” (George Bernard Shaw) （說’不可能’的人不應該打擾正在做的人） (George Bernard Shaw) 這種規劃已經有做過在很多地方。請看這裡和這裡。唯一差別就是路是給輕便交通工具而不是全部給行人。科技發展的很快、交通工具越來越輕便、小、安全、有效率、而且城市的密度會越來越高，所以這種或同樣的規劃是必要的。重点是我们要做得好。如果想了解沒有車子的路會多麼平靜請看這個影片

Self-Balancing eWheels (“eucs”) & Foot Scooters (“hoverboards”)

Update in 2022 I no longer promote the use of ewheels (eucs) given that manufacturers are now making them with such high top speeds which is obviously completely unsafe. So focus is likely to be on scooters, other gadgets and urban commuter systems from now on.
